Why am I here? Why is this me?

Why don’t have this? why don’t have that ?

Why am I not doing something amazing?

Why am I not doing everything I want in life?

Sometimes people forget the things they actually do have. People tell you to be grateful you have a house, some people are homeless. Be grateful you have clean water, kids in the continent of Africa don’t have water. There will always be someone less fortunate, sadly as it is.

Be grateful you have this, be grateful you have that

Understand we are all grateful for the things we have, but you can also be sad, frustrated, mad at the world about how you living life. you can be whatever emotions arose….remember being a human being is hard

An act of Kindness

Kindness is rare and beautiful, there is no such thing as a small act of kindness. Lead by example, don’t wait till you see someone doing an act of kindness for you to do so. We get so entwine in our own world sometimes that we forget to mind those around us. Learn how to treat others with the love and kindness that they deserve. Human relationships takes time, you can’t build a relationship without generosity, integrity and kindness. Contribute to the kindness that this world is missing.

Because kindness is:

  • being supportive
  • being appreciative
  • being mindful of others
  • being a decent human being

Goodbye summer; Hello fall

“You can’t reach your potential by remaining in a past due season. Your breakthrough is coming. Strongholds are breaking. Get Ready!”

Finally fall is here, one of my favorite time of the year, when it’s not too hot nor cold. As I looked back I realized all I did was work this summer, no time for a summer vacation. I enjoyed myself in other ways, by going hiking, trying different cuisines, and meeting new people through writers workshop. Trying different things helped me to be more open-minded and more aware of my surroundings.

It’s a new day, new season, so what are you thinking of doing differently. May this season bring you joy and new beginnings. Get used to falling and getting back up again to find your path to improve. You already possess the tools you need to live the life you want, so do what you must to have a healthy version of yourself.

Observation: Self-Recognition

“The mind is just like a muscle – the more you exercise it, the stronger it gets and the more it can expand.” 

Am I using my time wisely?

Am I taking care of myself physically?

Am I letting matters that are out of my control stress me out?

Am I achieving the goals that I’ve set for myself?

We tend to be critical of ourselves when we do something wrong. In life you can’t learn unless you make mistakes along the way. It can become apparent if you criticize yourself too much, which affects you mindset.  I am sure you hear this all the time “Make the most of yourself, for that is all there is of you.” Recap those critics and note your improvements, praise yourself so you can see growth. Understanding who you are and being honest with yourself is the first step to self-improvements.

Relationships/Connections: Personal & Professional

“Love, friendship, and networking – these are all critical connections and the foundation of a healthy, happy life”.

During College I learned the importance of having a connection and what it can do. Whether if it’s a personal or a professional connections, it matters more than I thought. I realized that we get so entwine with our lives that we forget or unaware of others contributing to it. Nothing should ever be taken for granted, but it happens anyway. The importance of connections is overlooked, a simple “Hey how are you? Or Hey how’s the new job?” goes a long way. I find that most of us are Self-contained, which cause a rift in creating a relationship in the first place. We don’t realize that we are indebted to so many people. Always remember to show and hold gratitude for the ones who makes time to connect with you.

Friday; After Work

“People wait all week for Friday, all year for summer, all life for happiness”.

Are you eager to leave work for the weekend to enjoy yourself? It’s a new day, new month; how about trying something different, something innovative. One of the best feelings of leaving work, is knowing you can sleep in the next day.  Trust me, for someone who works two jobs, I know. I barely have time to plan anything for the weekend.  Even so I still make time to try different things. We have a tendency to become lazy once we get trapped on the work routine of doing the same thing every day.

When was the last time you’ve gone outside of your comfort zone?

Why don’t you do the things you know you should be doing?

Motivate yourself to be open, to do more. Make time to enjoy yourself, paying bills isn’t all that life is about, seriously. Bringing your stress home is a definite NO, it causes more stress and unhappiness for you. Remember the weekend will end eventually, so make the best of the free time you have after work.

Happy July, May this month bring you joy!

“Most folks are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.”    

Today is one of those days, where getting out of bed seems impossible. I don’t feel like answering to adulthood calling. We all have our moments, and feels down sometimes. It’s inevitable, we can’t be happy all the time. I see it as life way of telling us to calm down, everyday can’t be our day. Nonetheless, I still have to cheer myself up and get ready for work. That’s the thing about life, times goes on, as I am sitting here getting myself together. It’s okay to wake up in a sour mood and be however you want to be, but try your best to not be like that throughout your day.  Just a reminder your mood also affects those around you. Learn to make the best of what you have.  Drink coffee or tea and put on your best smile to have a good day.

Its Monday, the weekend never last forever, but then again nothing last forever right. Don’t let a day change your mood, dealing with frequent grumpiness is not good for your health, so put on a big smile. Always try your best to act with kindness, your mood affect those around you. I know, it is hard to drag yourself out of bed after a comfortable weekend, but adulthood is calling. Motivate yourself to keep getting up on days you don’t want to, what else can you do?, you need to live life. Having a positive Monday means the rest of the week will likely be pretty good.
