Friday; After Work

“People wait all week for Friday, all year for summer, all life for happiness”.

Are you eager to leave work for the weekend to enjoy yourself? It’s a new day, new month; how about trying something different, something innovative. One of the best feelings of leaving work, is knowing you can sleep in the next day.  Trust me, for someone who works two jobs, I know. I barely have time to plan anything for the weekend.  Even so I still make time to try different things. We have a tendency to become lazy once we get trapped on the work routine of doing the same thing every day.

When was the last time you’ve gone outside of your comfort zone?

Why don’t you do the things you know you should be doing?

Motivate yourself to be open, to do more. Make time to enjoy yourself, paying bills isn’t all that life is about, seriously. Bringing your stress home is a definite NO, it causes more stress and unhappiness for you. Remember the weekend will end eventually, so make the best of the free time you have after work.

·         Wake up at 7:30 a.m

·         Drive to work- Do I have to go ?

After
·         Wake up at 7:00 a.m
·         Drink Water
·         Stretch
·         Shower
·         Make my bed
·         Eat a good breakfast
·         Drive to work
·         Be grateful

Most of us work a 9 to 5 job, it’s a repetitive life schedule with a hate and love relationship. On one hand you are happy to have a job, on the other you do the same thing every day. We all have bills to pay, so working is inevitable, but your mood is not. It’s important to work where you love, but most of us don’t have that luxury of having our dream jobs. Even so , you have to make the best of your day.

Practicing restraint can go a long way in life. If you are always in a bad mood or complains a lot, it becomes tiresome and annoying for the people around you, even for yourself. No one wants a miserable person around them, remember that. They will eventually deaden your unpleasant mood. Self-discipline is important, especially in today’s society.

Unwanted task: Adulting

“Relax. You will become an adult. You will figure out your career. You will find someone who loves you. You have a whole lifetime; time takes time. The only way to fail at life is to abstain.”

I don’t know who told us to grow up so quick. I couldn’t wait to turn 18 years old so I can say “I’m grown now, don’t tell me what to do”. I was excited to start working and make money. Quickly after, I realize the responsibilities that comes with having money and thinking you are grown. Adults have a lot of responsibilities that never cross my mind. I just wanted to say “I am grown now”, and I didn’t actually want to grow up, Funny as it sounds.  The start of College, being on Campus and having to take care of myself. At first I was happy to have freedom, no parents telling me what to do. Then it hits me, I have to feed myself, do my laundry and manage my money and school work. No lies I was struggling, any college students that was acting they had their shit together was just putting on an act. The things we all had in common, we were tired and broke, and can barely afford to take care of ourselves.

By the time I became a senior, I had the responsibilities thing down, well I was still a broke college student, but I managed to take care of myself pretty well. Every school had that teacher that put fears in you about the real world “this is not going to be acceptable in the real world” …..Whatever that means. Sometimes I would take my teacher serious, other times I liked being a smart ass by asking him “so how’s adult life for you, is it working out the way you want” He would laugh knowing I was joking. I’m sure he notices none of us had a clue what adulthood is. There’s certain level to being adult.

What makes you an adult?

Is it just taking care of yourself and your responsibilities?

Is it maturity?  Is it how we care for others or about the world?

So here I am, in my mid twenties, still trying to figure out what “Adulthood” is. There’s a lot of pressure after graduating, have to find a job, a place to live, and the most important of them all school loans to pay back.  Honestly, I don’t know if there’s an exact way to define to being an adult.  We are all just trying to live life to the best we can. At some point in our lives we all graduate from childhood into adulthood.

Good Practitioner

“While the journey seems long and hard at the beginning with perseverance and dedication the rewards at the end last a lifetime.”

As life goes on ,you learn the best teacher of life is experience and the progress of the journey we all go through. You have to want to change for any kind of transition to occur. Asking yourself, Can I do it? Am I good enough? Where do I begin? Won’t get you anywhere till you act. We all need guidance and have problems we want to get over whether in our personal or professional lives.

You must have confidence in your abilities.

Remember you have the power, the strength inside you.  There is nothing you cannot overcome.

You are capable of achieving the goals you set for yourself.

If you find yourself having the opportunity to do more good in one day, take advantage of it. Most of the time we are so busy and entwine in our lives that we forget about everything else around us. Despite all the difficulty of life and roadblocks to just be, you must make it worth it. Work on yourself for as long as you need. It takes human understanding, reason and courage to be a good practitioner.

Flaws & All

“We all have our imperfections. But I’m human, and you know, it’s important to concentrate on other qualities besides outer beauty”.

The first thing people notice about you is your appearance. Most people will never admit it, but let’s be honest, you do care how others sees you. It’s easy to want to be flawless and perfect, but that’s literally impossible. Remember you will never be able to please every single person. A lot of us are still struggling with self-esteem and what it means to find self-love and be satisfied with that.

What do you think it means when people say that beauty comes from the inside?

There are other ways of being “beautiful” besides being visually beautiful. Don’t compare yourself to others, who you think are better than you. From far it can look effortless, that we can be flawless and perfect. The more imperfections you have, the more you can look past superficial qualities.

“People like to pick at your imperfections, and that can be very hard on you as a person. I think, a lot of times, people forget that we’re human beings and some of us are fighting self-esteem issues already”.

The Quest for Identity

Many things and obstacles in life shape our identities. We all have an idea about what we represent to others and society. The definition of identity has many meaning. The issues of identity are difficult to understand. Our identity is our understanding of where we came from, our beliefs, and what form us to make us who we are. It is a state of mind that makes us realize our characters traits to help us understand who we are.

Your identity is basically who you are and what you define yourself as being. A lot of us are still struggling to understand what identity is and what it means to have an identity. Where you come from can teaches you many things about life. Along the way we must understand more about the consequences of our actions and life.

What does it mean to have honored and respect?

What kind of person will you be or desire to be?  

“We don’t need bigger cars or fancier clothes. We need self-respect, identity, community, love, variety, beauty, challenge and a purpose in living that is greater than material accumulation.”

Everyday people make decisions that will surely affect their future without thinking first about the immediate consequences that can drag along. This is the main issue of so many people, they act without thinking first. It should be the other way around; to think first before act. In everything we are doing, we need to think first about the risks and benefits that can impact our lives so that we make better decisions.  It is very important to stay true to yourself.

Today is one of those days, where getting out of bed seems impossible. I don’t feel like answering to adulthood calling. We all have our moments, and feels down sometimes. It’s inevitable, we can’t be happy all the time. I see it as life way of telling us to calm down, everyday can’t be our day. Nonetheless, I still have to cheer myself up and get ready for work. That’s the thing about life, times goes on, as I am sitting here getting myself together. It’s okay to wake up in a sour mood and be however you want to be, but try your best to not be like that throughout your day.  Just a reminder your mood also affects those around you. Learn to make the best of what you have.  Drink coffee or tea and put on your best smile to have a good day.

Starting First

Starting first does not mean you will always come out ahead, remember, you can give it your all and still lose. You never know the outcomes, that’s just life honestly. Everyone is at a different level in terms of growth. Don’t underestimate the greatness that will come bursting forth once you reach your full potential.

Often in life we witness others doing amazing things with their life, and it makes us doubt ourselves by comparing.

Why can’t I be this lucky?

When will I achieve this kind of success?

 Where do I even start?

Do not live your life in fear, learn to change your thought process. Remember looks can be deceiving, never judged someone based on what you solely sees. We all have our own struggles to deal with. When it’s your turn to leave everyone in Amazement, it will happen. Give yourself an opportunity to rise up and work hard to achieve your goals. You might surprise yourself, fill your mind with positive thoughts and go for it.

The world allows many people to express themselves in many different ways and for exploration of identity.  We are all free to take risks and explore all aspects of our identity. Every person, or group of people, has an identity and a culture, and we are all getting judged because of it. Gender, identity and culture are carried out in all aspects of life. Space is more than a container, because we are all different in our own way, and express our self freely even with the stereotypes of the world.  Every person develops their identity through life experience as we start to interact with different group within the same environment.  Society has imposed certain laws, though unwritten, that everyone must follow. These rules are essentially what govern our behaviors, our perceptions of other groups, and ultimately our identity.

We all try our best to see past cultural, religious and economic barriers to treat the human being as a whole person. So why is it so difficult to see the importance and value in every individual and understand the real nature of goodness? Why can’t we demonstrate compassion, empathy and respect and cultural sensitivity to others different from us?

Your positive energy and caring nature can be inspiring to those around you. Your behaviors does indeed have an emotional impact on the people around you, whether you believe it or not.  To build long lasting respectful relationship you must show unlimited love and compassion to everyone. Your strength of character, compassion, integrity does indeed determine the kind of person you choose to be. I get it we all don’t have a warm and caring nature, but that’s not an excuse to be a shitty human being.

Its Monday, the weekend never last forever, but then again nothing last forever right. Don’t let a day change your mood, dealing with frequent grumpiness is not good for your health, so put on a big smile. Always try your best to act with kindness, your mood affect those around you. I know, it is hard to drag yourself out of bed after a comfortable weekend, but adulthood is calling. Motivate yourself to keep getting up on days you don’t want to, what else can you do?, you need to live life. Having a positive Monday means the rest of the week will likely be pretty good.
